Byki is language acquisition software that is available as freeware for both Windows and Mac OS X in its basic version. It is a powerful personalized language system.       English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is known as a learner-centered approach to teaching English as a foreign or second language. It meets the needs of mostly adult learners who need to learn a foreign language for use in their specific fields.  International Legal English is an intermediate level course for law students or newly-qualified lawyers who need to use English in their legal work or studies. Suitable for classroom use or self-study, the course prepares learners for using English in a commercial law environment, focusing on a variety of legal topics including company, criminal and comparative law using authentic legal texts and case studies.

     Bachman in his article "Some Reflections on Task-Based Language Performance Assessment" discusses supporting predictions about the future performance on the basis of Task-Based Language Assessment (TBLA). He defined tasks, identified and selected tasks for use in language assessment and made a relationship between real-life tasks and assessment tasks. What we lack is systematic ways for designing performance assessments that will directly inform the particular kinds of inferences that need to be made for various assessment purposes such as program accountability and evaluation of student's proficiencies on what they are working on. Recognizing the knowledge of vocabulary and grammar is not sufficient to use a language. TBLA provides a broader conception to achieve our goals in social context of language use.
